Low Capacity 8800
Overview
Low-capacity servohydraulic systems are the workhorse of any laboratory for fatigue testing. These fatigue testers perform a wide variety of low-cycle and high-cycle fatigue tests, crack propagation and fracture toughness tests, and other dynamic tests. Each system can be easily configured for low or high-performance fatigue tests with appropriate sized servo valve, manifold, and hydraulic power unit to suit the particular application. All systems are equipped with the advanced features of the 8800 digital controller, Console Software and the unique fatigue-rated Dynacell™ load cells. WaveMatrix™ Dynamic Testing Software provides the backbone for running many dynamic tests. Other application specific software modules, such as LCF3 Low Cycle Fatigue or any of Instron’s Fracture Mechanics Suite, allows other standardized tests to be run.
These dynamic systems, when combined with Bluehill® 2 Software and appropriate accessories, are ideal for running a variety of static tensile, compression, flexure, peel, tear and friction tests.
Low-Capacity Servohydraulic Systems include:
- 8871/8872 Table-Model Axial Systems for up to 25 kN Capacity
- 8874 Table-Model Axial-Torsion Systems for up to 25 kN Capacity and 100 Nm Torsion
- 8801 Floor-Model Axial Systems for up to 100 kN Capacity
An alternative to these systems, in the under 10 kN force capacity, are the ElectroPuls™ All-Electric Dynamic Test Instruments. Only requiring single-phase electrical power for performing fatigue testing, these innovative fatigue testers are capable of performing a wide variety a fatigue tests, high-speed and quasi-static tension and compression tests, and other dynamic tests.
8800 Digital ControllerThe 8800 Digital Controller is a state-of-the-art, fully-digital servohydraulic controller that utilizes Instron® core technologies, such as a 19-bit sensor resolution, 5 kHz update rates, and a patented Adaptive Control System. |
Dynacell Load Cell TechnologyFatigue-rated Dynacell™ Load Cells feature built-in inertia compensation and help reduce dynamic load errors caused by grips and fixtures. |
